change effects/plug-ins on vocals during song?

Hi - am trying to work out if this is possible? So that additonal effects can come in and out on the vocal track during one song.

Why not just insert all the effects you will need (either directly or as Sends to aux channels) and then use knobs/MIDI to adjust their parameters to enable/change the effect

You could also use different patches according to the effects

Extremely late reply to this thread, thanks for suggestions - I wasn't sure how to adjust the parameters using midi of effects, but in the end I managed to add effects and then automate them to bring them in and out/adjust parameters as needed.
